Progress in the construction of the wind farm
The wind farm is planned to be completed to reach its design capacity of 500 MW. What is your goal?
The goal of the “30 by 2030” initiative is to increase installed renewable energy capacity to 30 GW by 2030. Currently, installed renewable energy capacity is only about 10 GW. Increasing green energy generation to 30 GW would mean that renewables would account for 50% of total electricity generation. The construction of the Tyligulska wind power plant is an important step towards achieving this goal and reducing Ukraine’s dependence on fossil fuels.
Message of hope
Timchenko stressed the importance of building new energy facilities in Ukraine as a signal to international partners that it is possible to invest in the country today without waiting for the end of the war. Despite the challenges, DTEK has already built an additional 114 MW of green energy generation.
