You have to be brave and courageous

When Olga was looking for a new job, she didn’t have the courage to apply for a developer position, despite her knowledge and experience. So she started working on projects that were mostly “out-of-the-box sites.” It was another tough six months: a lot of work, low pay, and unfulfilled expectations. Those tense days ended with pneumonia. She notes: “Now, I think I did a disservice to clients, a site is not a ready-made dish for the microwave, fast, cheap and soulless. There was no life in these sites without the investment of labor that no one wanted to pay for. Most of the sites died after a year, but they were not alive.”

Olga really wanted to find a job as a developer, but the special lead search was disappointing. From the job postings, she concluded that most IT companies were looking for geniuses who knew a lot of technologies and frameworks. It was hard to stay optimistic when studying such postings.

Unexpectedly, she found an offer on a site outside of popular job portals, and it seemed ideal - the author needed a developer with experience writing from scratch, able to understand and support someone else's code, able to translate technical documentation and articles, and also create simple layouts for printed products. After completing a trial task, Olga got a job, a higher salary, good conditions without overtime, and wonderful colleagues.

The vacancy turned out to be a direct advertisement from one of the sales departments of a technology company. Having successfully completed the test task, Olga passed by the HR department, which, as she thought, would not even consider her resume.
