A lead is a business opportunity through a user or contact who has indicated interest – in some way – in a product or service of your company. But how does a lead show their interest? Essentially, a lead is generated through the collection of information, for example through a form that has been filled out with the purpose of downloading content that has caught the attention of a visitor.

There are several types of leads within our Lead Nurturing strategy. In today's article we will talk about the stages of a lead that interest us the most: a marketing qualified lead (MQL) and a sales qualified lead (SQL) .

Lead MQL

These leads are characterized by a real and demonstrated interest hungary phone number list in the product and/or service or content. Focusing all the efforts of the Inbound Marketing strategy will provide a favorable result because it is a prospect that we can transform into a client, but we must be clear that not all MQLs will become a sale, as there will be some that we will have to develop to transform them into clients.

The prospects have already come a long way and the marketing department has already qualified and analyzed if these are the leads that can actually become SQLs , making the sales team focus on these prospects, increasing productivity and leveraging their time to close the sale.

Converting MQL to SQL

But the problem with modern marketing channels is that the quality of leads often does not match the expectations of the sales team. As a result, sales targets cannot be met and the relationship between marketing and sales teams becomes strained. To ease the situation, it is necessary to improve the quality of MQLs so that more deals can
