How do you deal with this as a company?

Post by bappy7 »

It’s time to stop thinking in terms of apps versus websites versus iBooks. Online success is about having a complete online presence, where each channel can serve a different function. You don’t have to do on YouTube what you do on Twitter, and you can talk about different things on Twitter than you do on Facebook. As long as it’s based on, I’ll say it again, the authentic forms of communication that the internet has.

Conclusion? Not by reading lists about '10 ways to use your social brother cell phone list media for sales'. But by thinking about the actual implications of what we now call 'social media'. The social internet will only become more social, it will become more siloed, and it will increasingly become part of our lives, wherever we are. Ask yourself again and again what this cultural shift means for you: no panic football, no Twitter workshops, but strategic thinking about what makes your company, organization or product unique and likeable.

The only way to deal with a social internet is to be social yourself . This requires not only knowledge of the medium, but also a change in behavior, a cultural shift within your company or organization. We can no longer rely on old-fashioned offline authority, such as having a large office or a high-quality product. It will soon be about the extent to which you participate and let others participate, about how high your social authority and your personal authenticity are. How real are you, how well do you understand the other, what is your value in many-to-many communication?

My best tip? Stop reading articles from social media experts like me and talk to your Facebook fans or Twitter followers about what they think you should do. Media is not social. You are social.
