The Consortium System closed 2023 registering new record-breaking results in several indicators, confirming Brazilians' confidence and reaffirming its importance in the national economy. Data from ABAC's economic advisory showed that average sales increased monthly, with a higher average ticket and a record in the accumulated number of credits sold.

Of the six indicators, four recorded increases in the total sales: real estate, with 20.8%; light vehicles, with 13.1%; motorcycles, with 4.0%; and heavy vehicles, with 2.5%. Only two showed declines: electronics and other durable goods, with -60.3%, and services, with -26.3%, which had little impact on the overall increase of 6.4% in the total sales from January to December.

Light Vehicle Consortium
When we analyze the performance of the Consortium System in 2023, there is one segment that undoubtedly stands out: the heavy vehicle consortium. Just look at the data on active participants, quotas sold and credits made available, in which it takes the lead in the sector ranking. There was an increase in all indicators, but the highlight was the credits sold, which increased by 27.9%.

Motorcycle Consortium
It was the segment that contemplated the most in 2023, in addition to having the 2nd largest volume of active participants. The motorcycle consortium ended the year with growth in all indicators, with emphasis on the two linked to the volume of credits: sold and granted. The almost 700 thousand contemplations, accumulated from January to December, corresponded to the potential purchase of 44.1% of the domestic market. This, according to data from FENABRAVE , totaled 1.58 million units sold. Thus, the percentage corresponded to one motorcycle for every two sold in the country.

Heavy Vehicle Consortium
In 2023, the heavy vehicle consortium showed significant growth. Focused on road freight and passenger transportation, in addition to agribusiness activities , the segment registered an 11.8% expansion in commercialized credits. There was also a 2.5% increase in sales of new quotas, with a 17.6% increase in the average ticket. This, by the way, is the 2nd largest among the consortium segments - second only to real estate.

Real Estate Consortium
The real estate consortium ended 2023 with a 20% increase in sales of new shares. The leader in credits sold among the segments of the Consortium System, it recorded a 33% expansion in this indicator throughout the year. The more than 100 thousand contemplations, accumulated in 2023, highlighted the great demand for the mechanism, with a possible financial injection of almost R$ 19 billion into the real estate market. Considering the total contemplations with a total of 547.17 properties financed in the year, according to data from ABECIP , the potential participation of the consortium reached 17.5% in this segment.
