Job aids are simple, clear instructions on how to perform a job task. They prevent mistakes in the workplace and remind employees how to perform a task correctly.
Job aids are also known as job aids, worksheets, checklists, one-pagers , cheat sheets, or memory joggers.

Providing definitions of technical terms (as in this example) can be part of a job aid.

Most of the time, work aids are printed documents. But they can also be digital, such as a PDF file or an image saved on a computer, a video or a smartphone app. They are often paginated.

What is not a help for work?
“Help” means assistance. A job aid makes information for a specific task accessible and serves to remind employees of the correct way to complete a task.
This means that if the document is used to teach someone how to do something they didn't know how to do, it is not a job aid and is a form of training.
Job aids are not training . Job aids support training and are used when the need arises.
Work aids are not tools. Your ergonomic office chair is not a work tool.
Job aids support on-the -job work . They simplify information and processes to help guide employees in the moment.
