The main objective of the Peruvian Guide is to reduce the risks associated with self-construction. This is because Peru is a seismic country and is affected by numerous natural phenomena caused by climate change. The guide presents certain guidelines for a Quality Management System for projects , buildings and works.
By applying the guide, good practices in botim database construction will be promoted. This is intended to ensure that buildings are efficient, resistant and of quality. They must also meet a series of requirements and ensure safety controls and parameters in all processes.

According to César José Bernabé Pérez, CEO of Inacal, the guide is a fundamental contribution for companies, contractors and consultants. Since the construction industry is one of the main drivers of the economy in Peru, sustainable growth will be strengthened.
One of the serious problems facing the country is the high percentage (80%) of self-built homes that represent a vulnerability for Peruvian families. It is therefore essential to consider the technical aspects of quality that help reduce risks and defects in construction, as well as guarantee the necessary safety measures.
The Quality Management System proposed in the guide indicates the development of five stages: planning and organization, diagnosis, document development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement for competitiveness.
Finally, it is worth noting that FUNIBER sponsors a variety of course opportunities for training in the area. Some of these programs are the Master's Degree in Infrastructure and Civil Engineering and the Master's Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning Projects .
